Fake. is a now defunt zine in the vein of D.I.Y. Punk asethic. Issue number 1 was distributed to various zine distributors and included a heart shaped logo sticker with the zine name stylized in black on a red background. Issue 1 contained original artwork from ReggieBags and Lillico, a write up on The Gooch Palms show at Siberia in New Orleans as well as an excerpt from “The Secret of Elena’s Tomb: The Confessions of Carl Von Cosel from a 1947 edition of Fantastic Adventures.”
This shirt back has a representation of an Oni mask from Japanese tradition. It bears a resemblance to famed anime anti-hero, Lupin the III. The front and back are adorned with “Fake.”, the name of the zine, the back also conveys that this was issue number 1 in the top left corner.
